The Woodlands at Cottonwood Canyon Wedding in Bozeman - Amanda + Charlie

Would you believe me if I told you that Charlie and Amanda were married three times? Yep, you read that correctly, THREE times!

It is a bit of a funny joke, with a side of COVID-19 delays, but it all worked out in the end. This pair were married in a private ceremony in May of 2020 right before their original wedding date, and clerical error necessitated another ceremony at the end of that same month. Fast forward to May of 2021, and they were finally able to have the wedding they had planned on!

After a year of delay and changed plans, their wedding week finally came around. I was maniacally checking the weather, praying that Montana would prove to be its typical temperamental self and NOT snow of their wedding day. We were blessed with the perfect spring day, and lovely golden light.

As the ceremony drew nearer, the anticipation was palpable, and it was only heightened by Charlie and Amanda choosing to not do a first look, but instead have their first look be while Amanda was walking down the aisle. As Amanda rounded the corner at the end of the aisle, and Charlie saw his bride for the first time, a wave of emotions swept over not only me, but Charlie as well. I may have been tearing up a little bit.

A simple ceremony, followed by heartfelt toasts and an impressive dance party made this wedding one where I truly felt more like a guest than a vendor. These are my types of people.
