From the first time I sat down with Alex and Laura, it was clear that their wedding day was going to be a beautifully traditional wedding, with some fun, personal touches thrown in. For one, Alex made their wedding cake. And it was gluten and dairy free. And mostly sugar free too. And guess what, it was delicious and looked incredible! Their guest book? Giant Jenga where their guests wrote sweet messages for the bride and groom to look back on.

But maybe the best personal touch at Alex and Laura’s wedding was their wedding party. One of my favorite parts of a wedding day is meeting all the people who the bride and groom have asked to be a part of their day. Alex and Laura’s wedding party were some of the kindest people I have ever met. I had groomsmen coming up and asking me if I needed anything, or if I needed some food. The bridesmaids thanked me for photographing the day for Alex and Laura. I felt so loved and looked after, that it was obvious these people cared for me the same way they cared for Alex and Laura.
